Signing In:
Everyone on the premises must sign into the club on arrival. Applicable COVID rules apply.
Event Restrictions:
Venue hire for celebrations of persons under the age of 21 years will be subject to approval by the club.
Underage Guests:
Guests under the age of 18 years must be under the direct supervision of a responsible adult at all times. AT NO TIME can minors place orders at the bar or receive an alcoholic beverage. Proof of age identity may be required to be presented by anyone appearing under 25.
Children:
Must be always under close parental supervision. Children are only permitted on the greens to play bowls in the company of an adult.
The Greens:
To be on a green you must have bare feet or be wearing smooth soled shoes without heels. The only permitted activity on the greens is bowling. No glassware on or near the greens. Glassware is permitted in the seating areas alongside the greens.
Barefoot Bowls:
Must be played under the supervision of a club member. All players must be aware of the danger of a heavy bowl hurting someone, especially to youngsters who might have strayed onto the green. Fast driving of bowls is not allowed. Bowls to be packed away at game end.
Bar Service and Music:
Bar service and music will cease no later than 10pm. NO BYO - under State legislation, as a licenced club no alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks can be brought onto the premises and we cannot sell any items for take away.
Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted inside the club building, within four (4) meters of all doorways, on the greens or near anyone bowling. There is a dedicated smoking area at the front of the club.
Decorations:
Reasonable decorations are allowed provided they cause no damage or risk to the furniture, fittings or fans. Decorations must be removed at the end of the function. Club ceiling decorations are in place throughout December however functions decorations may be placed at eye level and below during that month. No decorations are to be attached to ceiling fans.
Movement of Furniture:
Any furniture moved to provide space for the function must be returned to its original position by the end of the function.
Catering Arrangements:
Access for and requirements of caterers must be agreed with the club at least seven (7) days before the function date. Catering/food must be cleared and washed up by the end of function, including the cleaning of the dishwasher as per instructions on the wall and machine.
Noise:
In consideration of nearby residents amplified music should be controlled. Please wait inside the club for UBER/Ola or other public transport which should depart no later than 10.30pm.
Hirers are responsible for ensuring that all guests leave the club quietly.
Exclusive Hire:
While we do offer online a semi exclusive option for use of the main hall the final usage will be dependent on the numbers you have booked and the type of event. SCBRC Ltd reserves the right to host additional functions who will have use of the common facilities (Bar/Bathrooms).
Damage to Club Property:
The Principal Hirer will be responsible for any costs involved in repairing or replacing club property damaged as a consequence of their hire.
Duty Officer/Club Event Manager:
A representative of the club will act in this role to be of assistance when needed and to maintain the normal club rules.
Refunds:
Cancellations more than 30 days prior to the event – full refund of deposit. Cancellations within 30 days of the event – no refund of deposit. Cancellation of barefoot bowls bookings due to bad weather or green unavailability – refund of 75% of deposit
